Hatfield Week 3: 7/3/2024

Game 1: Red Stallion vs Team Glowcharge
Glowcharge score 5 in the 1st with Drew Lamb and Bob Hemessy both doubling, and Tyler Gower homering. Stallion plates 1 on an Austin Simpson solo shot. In the 2nd, Glowcharge send 19 batters to the plate and score 16 of them. Dylan Lamb blasts a 3-run homer, KC Ingram doubles, Hemessy doubles again, Sam Reynolds homers, and Steve DiGiovanni doubles. Stallions chip away in the bottom of the 2nd and get 3 back. They'll get 2 more in the 3rd on back-to-back solo homers from Simpson (his 2nd) and Chris Keeler. Glowcharge adds 7 to their lead in the top of the 4th, with Ingram going yard and Non Roster Sub Bryan Bart doubling. Team Glowcharge wins, 28-6.

Game 2: Mashed Taters vs Clinchers
Clinchers draw 1st blood with 5 runs in the top of the 1st. Jack Long goes long on a 2-run homer. Mashed Taters answer back quickly in the bottom of the 1st with a Carl Wambold leadoff homer and a Jimmy Mann triple to score 2. Taters will add 7 in the 2nd to take a 9-5 lead. Pat Furst and Mann both double, and Keith Saunders homers. Clinchers cut the lead to 1 by scoring 3 in the 3rd, but Taters go wild and bat around in the bottom of the 3rd and score 8. Furst doubles again, and Mike McCallister adds a 3-run homer. Clinchers go quiet in the 4th and 5th, but Taters keep scoring. They add 4 in the 4th and 2 in the 5th to take a 23-8 lead. Mann doubles again, and Wambold adds a double. This game is over with a Mashed Taters win, 23-8.

Game 3: Mayhem vs Yard Ducks
Mayhem jump out to a big lead in the 1st by batting around and plating 14 runs. Tom Hays and Brandon Brittingham both double, and Casey Condron blasts a grand slam. Yard Ducks get a run in the bottom after Tom Gallagher doubles and scores. Mayhem adds 2 in the 2nd, as does Yard Ducks. Ducks will add 5 in the 3rd, with Craig Solomon blasting a 4-bagger grand slam. Mayhem bats around again in the 4th and takes a 16 run lead. Steve Sovocool doubles and Derrick Strowhouer knocks in 3 with a 3-run blast over the fence. Ducks get 3 in the bottom of the 4th on Jason Crumbock's 3-run homer. Mayhem plates 3 in the 5th with Josh Sovocool doubling and Steven Sovocool homering. Yard Ducks get a double from Paul Brazil and a homer from Craig Solomon to score 2 in the bottom of the 5th. They'll get 2 more in the top of the 6th, but it's not enough, and we run out of time for a 7th. Mayhem wins, 27-15.
