Game #1 – The Sillies vs. Carrolls Jewelers

Carrolls will get off to a fast start with four runs in the first thanks to a two run single from Bryan Bart, RBI single from Mike Stacey and RBI single from Kelly Gallagher. They will add four more runs on RBI singles from Bart and Ali Theis as well as a two run double from Stacey. Sillies will get their first runs in the fourth getting three runs on RBI doubles from George Slawter and Bill Hamlet as well as an RBI single from Kris Karaba. That is short lived as Carrolls get rolling again as their bats are red hot in this one. Bill Shipe adds two runs on a single, while Kelly Gallagher added two runs on a double. RBI singles from John Zeits and Lauren Klepchick end this one early as they whole team gets involved and wins this for Carrolls. Carrolls win 19-4.

Game #2 – Wehrung’s vs. The Maize

Wehrung’s will get our second game of the night started with an RBI single from Lowell Snyder. An Adam Hendricks RBI single in the second makes this a 2-0 lead heading into the bottom of the second. The Maize uses homers to get back into this game, a solo from Aaron Worthington and three run bomb from Wil Das as they take a two run lead. Wehrung’s will jump back on top with a two run bomb from Luke Hendricks as they ball seems to be flying out of the park today. Worthington will go deep again in the fourth grabbing a two-run bomb followed by a two-run double. Das will add an RBI single as they get five in total and take a 9-5 lead. That lead is overtaken again by Wehrung’s as they get seven runs in the bottom of the inning. Luke Hendricks smashes a two run homer and Doug Moninghoff smashes a three run bomb. We will have one more lead change in this one, with Maize this time taking the lead again. Gary Kleinschmidt does the big damage with a three run bomb. This would be the last lead change as they will hold on and win this. The Maize wins 14-12.
