Wild Fire VS Web Gems

Wild Fire starts off fast with a rbi double from Jim Catanzaro and 2 rbi single from Rob Philippi. Bill Aicroth gets an RBI double and Mark Marice caps off the scoring with a sac fly. Web Gems comes out with an answer as Alex LaRosa hits a two run Home Run and then John Uccelletti hits a solo Home Run and then George Webb gets an rbi single to get within 1 after the first inning. Wild Fire extends the lead in the second highlighted by a two run rbi from Rob Philippi. Web Gems can’t answer and then Wild Fire extends the lead farther, with Eric Simonait getting two rbis on a single, Jim Catanzare adding an rbi on a single of his own, and Rob Philippi knocking one more in on a triple and then scoring on a Bill Aicroth ground out. Arik Fenton gets a solo shot for Web Gems, but they trail 15-5 after 3. Wild Fire keeps adding in the fourth with an Eric Simonait rbi single followed by a Jim Catanzaro rbi double and a Bill Aicroth two rbi single. The inning is capped off by a Chris Smith rbi single, Joe Guinan RBI walkand Vince Ceriale rbi single to extend to a 22-3 lead. The fifth sees even more fire power from Wild Fire as Jim Catanzaro hits an rbi triple, Rob Philippi an rbi single, Bill Aicroth another rbi double, and Brian Lackford an rbi single. In Web Gems last chance they get two runs on an error, but this ends in run rules after 5.
Wild Fire wins 30-7

Dugout Demons VS Birds of War
Dugout Demons is able to grab one run in the first from a Nate Gregory single to get this one started and Birds of Wars grabs an early lead after a Tom Bush rbi single is followed by a 3 run Home Run from Austin Devlin. Dugout Demons grabs the lead right back in the top of the second with a two rbi fielders choice from Dominic Natale, an RBI single from Sean Brennan, and a 3 rbi triple from TJ Pergine. The lead doesn’t last long as we have our fourth lead change in two innings when Birds of War get 6 runs, with a Tom Bush rbi single and 5 runs off two errors. Dugout Demons tie it back up with two rbi single from Christian Wagner and an RBI double from Sean Brennan. Birds of War takes the lead back though with a Jay Cowan sac fly and we go into the fourth 11-10 Birds of War. Dugout Demons retakes the lead with a two run TJ Pergine Home Run, then Scott Masulis gets an rbi single, Dominic Natale knocks one in on a fielders choice, and Sean Brennan gets an rbi single to extend to a 16-11 lead. We have yet another lead change in the bottom of the 4th with Birds retaking the lead after a 3 rbi double from Chris Day followed by an rbi single from Kyle Mason and rbi off an Angelo Scalfaro fielder’s choice. Dugout Demons grabs the lead back in the fifth with a TJ Pergine rbi double, which completes the CYCLE FOR PERGINE, Jimmy Roskos rbi single, and Scott Masulis rbi single. Down 19-17, we have our first half inning without a lead change and we go to the last inning due to time, the sixth. TJ Pergine hits his second Home Run of the game, a three run shot, to extend the lead and Birds of War come up down 22-17 with a chance to walk it off. They get a sac fly from Angelo Scalfaro, RBI single from Ryan Thompson and Jay Cowan, but eventually fall short.

Dugout Demons wins 23-20.

Player of the Game: TJ Pergine, 5-5. Single, double, triple, 2 Home Runs, 9 RBIs, 3 runs. Hit for The Cycle.

The Ones VS Dugout Demons


From here, we have a triple header for the ones. Dugout Demons come out fast with a TJ Pergine Home Run and error on the Ones first baseman to grab a 3-0 lead after one. The second sees The Ones grab one off a Mike Oakes rbi triple. Demons answer back big in the second, getting a two rbi single from Scott Masuels, rbi single from TJ Pergine, RBI double from Jimmy Natale, and two rbi single from Dominic Natale. The Ones get some back on solo Home Runs from both Jarrett Kerns and Richie Zupkusky and then an RBI walk from Eric Rosenburg. Dugout Demons keep pouring it on, with an RBI walk from Nate Gregory, two rbi sac fly from TJ Pergine, sac fly from AJ Dejewski, rbi double from Jimmy Natale, rbi single from Scott Masuels, and a two run Home Run from Dominic Natale to take a 21- 3 lead. The fourth sees the ones get an rbi on a sac fly from Scott Flaherty and rbi from Richie Zupkusky double but its too little too late, as TJ Pergine caps the game off with a two run Home Run and this one ends after 4.

Dugout Demons win 23-7

Giuseppe’s Pizza VS The Ones


This time The Ones jump off to an early lead with a Jarret Kerns Home run and Richie Zupkusky rbi single. Giuseppe’s gets one back in the second with a RBI single from Greg Jacobs. Curt Hensman gets an RBI single for the Ones to cushion the lead, but Giuseppe’s ties it up in the third with an rbi single from Bryan Graham and sac fly from Bob Jacob. The Ones grabs the lead back after a solo Home Run from Richie Zupusky, but Giuseppe’s answers right back in the top of the 4th when Don Howald scores after his double. The fifth sees Giuseppe’s grab the lead after an RBI triple from Bob Jacob and a sac fly from Ryan Nakonieczny. The Ones come right back to take the lead with a Jarret Kerns rbi sac fly, a Scott Flaherty rbi single, a Mike Oakes rbi single, and a Joey Reiner rbi single. The inning is capped off by Dave Slaymaker’s rbi single but is thrown out trying to extend it into a double. The sixth has Giueseppe’s Pizza take back the lead with a Mario Varani rbi double followed by a two run Bob Jacob Home Run. The Ones answer right back with an RBI single from Jarrett Kerns to take the 10-9 lead. Giuseppe’s goes into the top of the seventh down by one and Louie Nobel delivers a three run Home Run to take a 12-10 lead. The Ones get their first runner on, but fall short in their second game.

Balls Deep VS The Ones


Balls Deep strikes early scoring two off a Conner Quinn double. The Ones grab the lead back though with an RBI single from Scott Flaherty and a 2 run Home Run from Richie Zupusky. We have a quiet second before Balls Deep gets three in the third with a Tim Fossile rbi single, Trevor Rice two rbi single, and Josh Carl rbi single. The Ones answer back with a 3 run Home Run from Richie Zupusky and an rbi from Dave Slaymaker’s sac fly. The fifth sees an explosion from Balls Deep as they get an RBI double from Conner Quinn, sac fly rbi from Tim Frei, rbi double from Will Zhulz, rbi triple from Ken Huber, and back to back rbi singles from Trevor Rice and Josh Carl. Trevor Harris caps the inning off with an rbi single and Balls Deep gets 7 runs in the inning. They’ll add one more off a Tim Frei home run and go into the 7th up 17-7. The Ones come out strong, with a Jarret Kerns rbi single, Scott Flaherty RBI single, Richie Zupusky two run Home Run, followed immediately by a CJ Steiner Home Run, an rbi double from Joey Reiner, followed by a Dave Slaymaker rbi double all with no outs, but they fall just short of a comeback and Balls Deep hangs on.

Balls Deep wins 17-15

Player of the Game: (in a rare loss for the player of the game) Richie Zupusky, 3-4, 3 Home Runs, 7 RBIs, three runs.
