Game #1 – Carrolls Jewelers vs. Wehrungs

Bill Shipe will get the party started in this one with a two run bomb. Brian Sauers will then add an RBI single before Mike Stacey adds a run on a double. Wehrungs will get their first runs of the game in the second on an Adam Hendricks RBI double and Muth RBI single. Carrolls will get three more runs in the third from a Shipe RBI single and two run sac fly from Bryan Bart. Carrolls will keep the good things rolling into the fifth with five more runs. They will get a sac fly from Sarah Yoos and an RBI single from Bart, Sauers and Ali Theis. Wehrungs will get some runs back late in the game, but it won’t be enough. Grim will grab two runs on a single in the losing effort for Wehrungs. Carrolls win 13-7.

Game #2 – The Maize vs. Dominicks

Maize grabs a run early on a Gary Kleinschmidt RBI single. Defense will run the game as neither team will score again until the fourth inning. Both teams are flashing the gloves big time. Wil Das will then get Maize another run on a solo bomb. Dominicks will tie the game in the bottom of the fourth with a big two run bomb big time into the woods. Maize will grab three more runs in the sixth with a Das RBI triple and a couple singles. Trailing by three, Cody Miller steps to the plate again and deposits another ball into the woods. Maize will grab five more runs in the seventh and put this game to bed. Gary Kleinschmidt hit a two run double and Worthington knock in a run on a double. Maize wins 10-3.

Game #3 – The Runs vs. Sandlot Legend

Runs grab an early lead on a three run bomb off the bat of Eric Cusano followed up by a Jon Suchm RBI single. Runs will shut it down in the bottom of the inning and then get right back to it in the second grabbing five more runs. Matt Kovaleski will provide the big hit with a bases clearing single and Suchm will add two more RBI’s on with a hit and error. Sandlot will finally get on the board in the second grabbing three runs on RBI singles from Newman, O’Connor and Kalinouski. Neither team would score in the third which takes us to the fourth where Sandlot will score three more. New man adds two runs on a sac fly and O’Connor will add one more run on a single. The game would be slow until we get to the seventh, where Runs will explode again at the plate. They would send 12 batters to the plate in the inning resulting in nine total runs. Bobby Ridenour would have the big swing with a three-run bomb, but they also got RBI singles from Leavvy, Perricone and Brennan. In the end, it would be too much Runs as they will take this game big. Runs win 20-7.\
