Game #1 – Knuckleheads vs. Sillies

Knuckleheads get the scoring started with a sac fly from Jesse Faller to give them a 1-0 lead. Sillies will answer back with two runs of their own with a Jamie Cennon two run double. Defense will shut down the second inning before Knuckleheads get another from a Wayne Horger Jr. RBI single to tie the game up. Knuckleheads will have a big fourth inning grabbing five more runs. L Wood and Jamie Burns both have RBI singles, while Mike Monarch brings in a run on a triple. Jesse Faller also goes yard in the inning for two more runs. Sillies would get two runs in the fifth on a Walt Bartle double and three runs in the sixth on a Bill Hamlet three run bomb, but they would get nothing else offensively on the day. Knuckleheads would continue to drive in the runs through out the game including 14 runs across the last two innings. Faller would add another three run bomb, while Pierre Girin would drive in four on a homer and triple. In the end, Knuckleheads win big 22-7.

Player of the Game:
Jesse Faller (Knuckleheads) – 3/5, 2 HR’s, 8 RBI’s

Game #2 – Wehrungs vs. The Runs

Wehrungs get rolling with two runs on a Luke Hendricks two run bomb to get out to an early 2-0 lead. Runs will make that up and more in the bottom of the inning, with five runs. Erik Cusano starts the scoring with a three-run bomb, followed by RBI singles from Nick Perricone and Amy Balash. Both teams will ad a run in the third, before Wehrungs adds three more in the fourth on a Paul Muth bases clearing single to tie the game up. That was short lived as Matt Kovaleski puts Runs back on top with an RBI single of his own. Doug Moninghoff says no to that and ties it up with his own RBI single. It’s anyone’s game. Wehrungs will get three runs in the sixth on RBI singles from Kyle Hendricks and Daniel Muth as well as a sac fly from Paul Muth, but again Runs ties it up in the bottom of the inning. Jason Exner had the big shot with a two run bomb. We will head to extras after neither team could secure a run in the seventh as this night gets more exciting. Luke Hendricks puts Wehrung’s on top with a two run bomb and Pual Muth nets two more later in the inning with a singe as they lead 15-10 heading to the bottom of the eighth. Bobby Ridenour goes yard for a three run bomb to bring them to within two and then Kyle Exner brings them to within one with a single. Rebecca Brennan will play hero in this one with a walk off two run single as Runs wins in the game of the night. Runs wins 16-15.

Player of the Game:
Rebecca Brennan (Runs) – 4/5, 3 RBI’s, Walk Off 2 Run Single

Game #3 – Dirty Balls vs. Altek

Altek get the last game of the night rolling with seven runs in the first two innings. Kyle Smith will knock in the first run with a triple followed by a two run bomb from Brian Dart. Shawn Puskar adds two more with a double and Smith adds another run on a single in the second inning. Dirty Balls were only able to get one run on a Tim Glock RBI single in the second as they trail 7-1. Altek will open up with a massive inning in the seventh, getting seven more runs. Scott Flaherty will net three runs on a homer, followed by an RBI double and RBI single from Smith and Dart and then rounded out by a Brandon Smith two run bomb. Dirty Balls get a two run homer from Tim Frei, but there is just too much Altek in this one as they can’t get much other offense going in this one. Altek will get a late bases clearing triple from Dart to really put the game out of sight. Altek wins 20-8.

Player of the Game:
Brian Dart (Altek) – 3/4, 3B, HR, 6 RBI’s

Player of the Week:
Jesse Faller (Knuckleheads) – 3/5, 2 HR’s, 8 RBI’s
