Game 1: Palz Tap House vs One Hit Wonders
One Hit Wonders got the game started in the top of the 1st scoring one run on an RBI double by Andy Springer. Palz answered back and scored two runs in the bottom of the 1st on a two-run homer by Tom Jacob to put Palz Tap House up 2-1 after the first. One Hit Wonders would then take over the game in the 2nd and 3rd innings as they scored a combined nine runs on RBI singles by Dave Larkin, Tom O'Neill, Springer and Andrew Bougher and RBI doubles by Dan Croak and Jack Stepnowski to take a 10-2 lead after the third. One Hit Wonders would add five more runs in the top of the 4th on an RBI single by Bougher and an RBI triple by Nick Mariana to put Palz Tap House in a big hole after not scoring in the 2nd and 3rd innings. Palz would score two runs in the bottom of the 4th on an RBI triple by Matt Herbert to make it 15-4 after the fourth. Palz would shut down One Hit Wonders in the top of the 5th and add another run in the bottom of the 5th on an RBI single by Jordan Cohen to trail 15-5 after the fifth. Neither team scored the rest of the way and One Hit Wonders wins by double digits 15-5 over Palz Tap House.
Game 2: Palz Tap House vs Pitches Be Trippin
Pitches Be Trippin got on the board first in the top of the first as they scored one run on an RBI single by Anthony Perretti. Palz looking to get something going early in their second game scored six runs in the bottom of the 1st on a fielder's choice, an RBI triple by Matt Herbert and a three-run homer by Tom Jacob to take a 6-1 lead after the first. Pitches Be Trippin then got into trouble at the plate and could not score in the 2nd or 3rd innings. Palz Tap House used the opportunity and extended their lead by scoring 4 runs between the 2nd and 3rd innings on RBI singles by Bob and Greg Jacob and another homer by Tom Jacob to make it 10-1 Palz after the third. Pitches Be Trippin added one run on a fielder's choice in the top of the 4th, but they needed more if they wanted to get back in the game. Palz answered with one of their own in the bottom of the 4th on another RBI single by Bob Jacob as Palz led 11-2 after the fourth. Pitches Be Trippin would score two more runs in the top of the 5th on RBI singles by Matt Horn and Perretti. Palz would match Pitches Be Trippin in the bottom of the 5th as they scored two runs on another RBI single by Greg Jacob to make it 13-4 Palz after the fifth. In the top of the 6th, Pitches Be Trippin would have a big inning to get back in the game as they scored 5 runs on RBI singles by Dave McCauley and Dan Kalonoski and a couple fielder's choices to bring the score closer as Palz only led 13-9. Palz would add another insurance run in the bottom of the 6th on an RBI double by Louie Knoble as we stood at 14-9 Palz heading into the 7th. Pitches Be Trippin needed at least 5 runs to extend the game, but after a leadoff single, they went down in order and ended the game. The Jacob family came up big for Palz as Palz Tap House won game 2 14-9 over Pitches Be Trippin.
Game 3: Doc's Irish Pub vs Stiff Sox
Stiff Sox would get some offense going in the top of the 1st as they scored two runs on RBI singles by Brian DeLucas and Nick Purshock to take an early 2-0 lead over Doc's. Doc's would get one back in the bottom of the 1st on a sac fly to make it 2-1 Stiff Sox after the 1st. After Stiff Sox failed to score in the top of the 2nd, Doc's would score 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd on RBI singles by John Beard and AJ Bagushinski and RBI doubles by Paul Elliot and Matt Fronheiser to take a 6-2 lead over Stiff Sox after the 2nd. Stiff Sox would score one run on a sac fly in the top of the 3rd to cut the deficit to 6-3 Doc's after the third. Doc's would extend the lead in the bottom of the 4th on a two-run homer by Austin Kooker to bring the score to 8-3 Doc's after the fourth. Doc's would then get two more runs in the bottom of the 6th on RBI singles by Fronheiser and Bagushinski to give themselves a comfortable 10-3 lead over Stiff Sox heading into the seventh. In the top of the 7th, Stiff Sox would score two quick runs on an RBI triple by Purshock and no outs. A sac fly would make it 10-6 with one out. After putting a couple runners on again, Doc's was able to get a couple flyouts to end the game. Doc's wins a low scorer 10-6 over Stiff Sox.
Game 4: Doc's Irish Pub vs Purple Cobras
Purple Cobras got off to a slow start as they were not able to score the first three innings. Doc's pushed three runs across in the bottom of the 2nd on an RBI single by John Beard and RBI doubles by Ryan Black and Clay Snyder to go up 3-0 after the third. In the top of the 4th, the Purple Cobras' offense would wake up as they scored five runs on RBI singles by Ty Allen, Rey Jimenez and Tim Gardner as Purple Cobras took a 5-3 lead over Doc's after the fourth. In the top of the 5th, Purple Cobras would add three more runs on an RBI single by Brandon Roman and an RBI double by Dan Roman. Doc's would score one run in the bottom of the 5th on a sac fly as they now trailed 8-4 heading into the sixth inning. A fielder's choice would bring one more run in for Purple Cobras to go up 9-4 and one inning remaining. Purple Cobras kept up the momentum and scored six more in the top of the 7th on RBI singles by Jordan Roman and Tom Friedman, an RBI double by Tim Gardner and a pair of homers by Dan Roman and Ty Allen to make it 15-4 with three outs to go for Doc's. Doc's could only hit a single in the bottom of the 7th and could not make any sort of comeback. Purple Cobras recover from the slow start and beat Doc's easily 15-4.
