Game #1 – GFP vs. Knuckleheads
GFP will come out looking to take an early lead and grab two runs right out of the gate. Bill Brancato provides the first run on a sac fly, followed by a Lissa Tercha RBI single, making it a 2-0 game. Knuckleheads will get those two back plus three more to take a 5-2 game. Jon Poore, Pierre Girin and Gary Thompson bring in runs on singles, while Wyane Horger brings in two runs on a single. GFP will get one back in the second on a Molly Rice RBI single to make it a 5-3 game. Defense will shut the game down for the next three innings as neither team could score. GFP will tie this game up in the sixth, getting a run on a fielder’s choice and another run on a Mark Cooper RBI single. We head to the eight looking for a hero, and we get it on a Nate Evans RBI double, then Bill Brancato sac fly, giving them a two run lead. Knuckleheads go down in order in the bottom half of the inning as they will fall in game one. GFP wins 7-5.

Game #2 – Knuckleheads vs. GFP
Knuckleheads will bat first in this one and grab a run on a sac fly from Keith Keppley. GFP will come back in the bottom of the inning with two runs getting a run on a Evans RBI double and then an error. Knuckleheads take the lead back in the second getting two runs on a Horger RBI single. But again, here comes GFP. Back-to-back RBI doubles from Alex Freeman and Evans as well as a RBI single from Brancato give them a 6-3 lead. Jon Poore does his best to keep Knuckleheads alive with a two run bomb, but things go south from there. Knuckleheads will go ice cold and those would be the last runs they score in this one. GFP explodes for a 12 run inning in the fifth where they don’t even record an out. Brancato has two RBI doubles, Vescovi knocks in two runs on a triple while the rest of the team got involved as well. This game ends early with GFP taking the Summer Crown. GFP wins 20-5.
