Sunday Men's Woodbat - Stover (09/21/25)

Game 1: The Goonies (22) VS. City Lights (2)
Recap: The Goonies came out hot on this beautiful Sunday morning scoring 7 runs in the first, led by an attack by the top and middle of the lineup. City Lights showed some life in the 1st with 3 base hits, scoring 1 run. They continued to struggle, waiting until the 4th inning to score their 2nd and final run off an RBI single from Brad Arnold. The Goonies were rocking on all cylinders as they continued to trample their opponent. 7 walks, 2 errors and a gang of singles and doubles ultimately led to a Goonies Victory of 22-2. Great work y'all.

Game 2: Morning Wood (4) VS. The Goonies (6)
Recap: The Goonies were home for this bout, allowing a leadoff double from Trevor Harris of Morning Wood. Despite, a promising first atbat, Morning Wood was sat down quietly, scoring no runs in the 1st. The Goonies were able to add 1 run to the board in the 1st following a Solo Bomb from Josh Graef. Morning Wood's struggles continued as they failed to plate any runs until the 4th and 6th innings where they managed to compile a total of 4 runs (2 runs in both innings). 4 Runs was all they had in the tank as they fell to The Goonies after a last minute surge in the 5th plating 5 runs off 2 singles, 2 doubles, a walk and a triple from Shane Stewart. The Goonies, proved themselves this Sunday, walking away with 2 dubs.

Recap: This game unfortunately ended in a Forfeit, as Crankin Hogs was unable to field a team. Congrats on the W Morning Wood!
