Men's Fall Classic 1-Pitch Tournament 2025

Post by sixofdiamonds »

Date: Saturday, October 11, 2025
Rain Date: November 1, 2025
1st Game: 9:00 am (all games to be played at the Eureka Quarry ball field)
Cost: $300.00 per team

The $300.00 (CASH ONLY) team entry fee must be remitted to the league on or before October 4th. You can give it to me, Curt Hensman, or Stephanie Thrasher at the Quarry ball field. Be sure to get a cash receipt.

Each batter receives 1 pitch. If the pitch is fouled off, swung at and missed or hits the mat or plate, the batter is struck out. If the pitch is a ball, the batter walks. Fair batted balls are played in normal fashion. The pace of play is fast. The games are quick. It's a lot of fun for sure.

This is a great opportunity to make a name for yourself in the SBA community and earn some cash prize money for the team. You can enter an existing SBA league team. You can enter a partial SBA league team and cherry pick players from other teams to join up with you. The roster requirements are listed below.

Roster requirements have changed a bit. In 2021, unlimited outsiders to the league were allowed. In 2023, outsiders to the league were not allowed. Last year we compromised where 2 outsiders to the league per team were allowed. This year, outsiders to the league will NOT be allowed.

In an effort to help B league teams compete vs. A league squads, the following roster requirements are in effect.

A Division teams must contain no less than 5 players from their regular season team. In other words, if you want to enter your Tuesday Men's team, a minimum of 5 players on your tournament roster must be or have been on your Tuesday Men's roster in at least one of the current-year seasons. Additionally, 5 regular season roster players must be in attendance at the tournament AND 5 must remain in the line-up at all times. The balance of the players on the team must be or have been registered members of Softball America at some point in the past 30 years. Final rosters shall be capped at a max of 13 players. Outsiders to the league are not eligible to participate. A batting out shall be taken for every player under the minimum of 5 regular roster members not in the batting line-up (max 2). League all-star limit of 7 shall apply.

B Division teams may contain any number of B league players from any number of B league teams. B Division players are considered such if they played at least 1 season of STRICTLY B Division ball in the current year. If a player on a B team has played this year on an A team, that player will be considered an A player. B Division teams will be allowed 2 A players on their roster. Any more than that will force the B team to comply with A Division roster requirements. All players on the team must be or have been a registered member of Softball America at some point in the past 30 years. Outsiders to the league are not eligible to participate. Final rosters shall be capped at a max of 13 players. League limit of 7 all-stars shall NOT apply.

Men's league all-stars are listed here...

Prize Money (based on 8 teams): After expenses (trash, port-a-potties, softballs, umpires, scorekeepers, statistician, electric, insurance, etc.), the prize money breakdown is listed below. There is more cash available this year because I am not ordering a 3rd port-a-pot. We shouldn't need it. If I am wrong, hold it in or use the woods out back.

1st Place (based on 8 teams): $600.00
2nd Place (based on 8 teams): $300.00

Each manager has sent in a 3-digit number. This 3-digit number will be used in a lottery to determine tournament team numbers and first round match-ups. The number we will work off of will be established via the PA Pick 3 Lottery on Monday, 10/06/25 (evening draw). https://www.palottery.state.pa.us/Draw- ... ICK-3.aspx

The team with the 3-digit number that is closest to the PA Pick 3 number (plus/minus) will be Team #1. Using each of the remaining manager tandem's 3-digit numbers, we will move in ascending order from the winning number to determine the balance of the team numbers. 000 will follow 999.
