Game 1: Crankin' Hogs VS. Goonies (H)
Recap:
Game 1 was a tight one as both teams didn't exactly light it up at the plate. Crankin' Hogs did strike 1st scoring 3 1st inning runs off 4 singles and a base on balls. Goonies struck back immediately scoring 2 in the 1st, followed by another 2 runs in the 2nd. Pitching was a struggle for Crankin' Hogs yesterday, which was warranted with the windy conditions present. Both teams went quiet towards the middle of the game, but Crankin' Hogs was able to plate another 5 insurance runs in the 5th inning off2 walks and 5 consecutive singles. Goonies struck back with 2 late runs in the 7th, but it was too far gone as Crankin' Hogs cranked that soulja boy on to the next bout. Word on the street is they're still dancing. Good win y'all!
Game 2: City Lights VS. Morning Wood (H)
Morning Wood brought loads of it to the City on this beautifully windy Sunday morning. I mean, how do they even walk? This game was a blowout with the score ending 21-1 in the 4th inning. Nick Pigott lead the charge for Morning Wood going 4 for 4 with 3 singles and hgis final atbat ending in a triple. Nick walked away with 4 RBI's and a great team dub. While everyone was firing on all cylinders on Morning Wood, City Lights had the exact opposite effect totaling 5 hits and 7 runners on the day. To be fair, they did only have 9 guys. Goes to show you, you have to field a team to win games!
Game 3: Crankin' Hogs VS. City Lights (H)
Game 3 was interesting for a few innings as Crankin' Hogs came out hot, plating 2 runners immediately in the first. They faded, only scoring 1 run from the 2nd to the 6th inning, until they unloaded 6 runs in the 6th off 5 singles, a walk and a double. City Lights scored 2 in the 2nd and 1 in the 7th being led by Pendergast, Liott and Kearns. I'm not sure if anyone else even brought their bats with them... Crankin' Hogs pulled out another dub, and cranked that soulja boy all the way home to watch the Birds do what they do. Great work y'all. Come back stronger next week!
