Game #1 – Wackers vs. Mean Machine

Wackers dipped their bats in some red hot lava before the game starts coming out with thirteen runs right out of the gate. Bill Brancato starts the scoring with an RBI single, followed by four straight RBI walks from Chase Luxton, Lissa Tercha, Bill Shallcross and Mary Kate Smith. Adam Lightkep then smashes a two run double, before Nonnneneemacher drives in a run with a double of his own. Mean Machine don’t sweat the big deficit and grab six runs in the bottom of the inning. Mike Van Fossen brings in two on a double, while Jeff Cheng smashes a three run bomb. Neither team will score in the second, which brings us to the third, when Wackers drive in three. Jay Pane and Ricky Kelly do the damage with back to back RBI singles. A fifth inning two run bomb from Bill Brancato increase their lead as well as a Luxton two run single. Mean Machine show some fight late in the game grabbing eight runs across the fifth and sixth inning. Cuzzo smashed two homers in the effort as well as a Corey Van Fossen bases clearing triple. Wackers will hold on and win this one. Wackers win 21-15.

Jay Pane (Wackers) – 3/4, 2B, 3 RBI’s



Game #2 – Wehrung’s vs. Quality Landscape

Wehrung’s look to come out firing the way that Wacker’s did and get four runs on a grand slam from Luke Hendricks. Quality will get their first runs of the game in the second on a Nicole M RBI single and an error, cutting their deficit in half. Wehrung’s get back to the homer’s party getting a two-run shot from Doug Moninghoff in the third. Wehrung’s keep rolling in the fourth, this time for ten runs. Adam Hendricks had a bases clearing triple, while Luke Hendricks smashed his second homer of the night, this time a two-run shot. Wyatt Schilling added a two run double. Wehrung’s will keep the pressure up and win this one easy after another big inning in the fifth. The Hendricks were back at it again, getting RBI singles in the fifth. Wehrung’s win 23-5.

Game #3 – Knuckleheads vs. Sultans of Swing

The away team’s have been hot today as they keep coming out firing. This was the same for Knuckleheads as they grab six runs in the first inning. Rich Zupkusky and Joh Kiefer started the scoring with back to back RBI singles, followed by a Pierre Girin two run triple. Colin Anderson also had an RBI single. Sultan’s respond with a Josh Owens sac fly. The next inning brought more runs in for Knuckleheads. Jose Rodriguez knocked a single bringing in two runs, while Jon Poore brought in a run with a single. Knuckleheads would keep the pressure on with six more runs across the next couple of innings. Mike Cebznov had an RBI triple, while Zupkusky and Giring added two more RBI’s each. Knuckleheads will roll in this one. Knuckleheads win 18-3.
