Game #1 – Carroll’s vs. The Maize
Carroll’s come out of the gates swinging hot, grabbing eight runs across the first two innings. Kyle Gallagher starts it with a three run bomb, followed by an Ali Theis RBI double. Bill Shipe and Mike Stacey also add RBI doubles, while Brian Sauers adds a run on a single. Maize will only manage two runs across the first two innings thanks to an Aaron Worthington two run bomb, but runs would prove hard to come by for Maize in this one. Carroll’s really put this game out of reach with eight more runs in the third and fourth inning. John Zeits, Sarah Yoos and Shipe all have RBI doubles, while Sauers puts this game to bed with a two run dinger. Maize will add two runs late, but don’t have the fire power in this one to keep up. Carroll’s win 16-4.

Stefano Guiliani finishes the inning with a two run double. We will see a scoreless inning again in the fifth inning, before a Stephanie Green nets Domenick’s one more run. That is where the score would finish as this very fast paced and defensive game will end early giving the third game of the night time to warm up. Domenick’s win 6-0.
