Game 1: Clinchers vs Ohtani’s Bookies
Clincher get none in the 1st while Bookies plate 2 with Justin Rosenbaum doubling. Bookies score again in the 3rd and once again in the 7th to cap their runs at 4 on the night. Seems like 4 runs in 7 innings isn't gonna be enough to win, right? Read on....
Clinchers tie it up in the 5th with 3 runs but then go down in order in the 6th and 7th. Ohtani’s Bookies somehow get the win, 4-3.
Game 2: Yard Ducks vs Cheaters
Yard Ducks put up 6 in the 1st 4 innings while Cheaters put up duck eggs (zeros). Pat Malloy and Steven Sitiano both double and Craig Solomon knocks in 2 with a homer. They'll add 1 more in the top of the 5th. Cheaters finally get on the board in the 5th with a 2 run blast from Bobby Ridenour. Ducks add 1 more in the 6th and none in the 7th to hold on to an 8-2 lead going into the bottom of the 7th. Needing 6 to tie and 7 to win, Cheaters get to work. They get 3 runs from Eric Cusano's 3 run blast, and score 2 more on singles and walks, but they stall just 1 run short. Yard Ducks hang on for the win, 8-7.
Game 3: Disciples vs Mashed Taters
Disciples bat all 10 in the 1st and plate 5. Richie Hall and Trevor Watts both double. Mashed Taters answers back with 3 in the bottom. Patrick Furst, Paul Grant, and Keith Saunders all double. Disciples widen their lead in the 2nd by scoring 3. Darren Hughes doubles. Taters erase those 3 with 3 of their own in the bottom. They'll tie it up in the bottom of the 3rd with 2 runs. Anthony Latronica doubles. Disciples take the lead back in the top of the 4th with a 2-run Richie Hall blast over the fence. They'll add 3 more in the 5th with Justin Lyons doubling. Taters close the gap in the bottom of the 5th with 3 runs, including doubles from Paul Grant, Jim Mann and Keith Saunders, and a 2 run blast from RJ Grant. Disciples blast out 7 runs in the top of the 7th to take a 20-11 lead. Richie Hall doubles, Trevor Watts triples, and Brad Schuck homers. Needing 9 to tie and 10 to win, Mashed Taters get a 2 run blast over the fence from Patrick Furst, but stall after that. Disciples win, 20-13.
