Date: Saturday, October 12, 2024
Rain Date: October 19, 2024
1st Game: 9:00 am (all games to be played at the Eureka Quarry ball field)
Cost: $300.00 per team
The $300.00 (CASH ONLY) team entry fee must be remitted to the league on or before October 5th. You can give it to me or Nancy Razzi at the Quarry ball field. Be sure to get a cash receipt.
Each batter receives 1 pitch. If the pitch is fouled off, swung at and missed or hits the mat or plate, the batter is struck out. If the pitch is a ball, the batter walks. Fair batted balls are played in normal fashion. The pace of play is fast. The games are quick. It's a lot of fun for sure.
This is a great opportunity to make a name for yourself in the SBA community and earn some cash prize money for the team. You can enter an existing SBA league team. You can enter a partial SBA league team and cherry pick players from other teams to join up with you. Or, you can build a team from scratch with any combination of players from any combination of teams. The only requirements are listed below.
Roster requirements have changed a little. In 2021, unlimited outsiders to the league were allowed. In 2023, outsiders to the league were not allowed. This year we will compromise between the 2. Outsiders to the league will be allowed, but only up to 2.
Roster Requirements: Each team must have in their line-up AT ALL TIMES no less than 6 registered Softball America league members. Registered SBA league member refers to any player that has paid a league fee in 2024. This is an insurance requirement. Tournament teams need not be the same as regular season teams. Tournament teams can be a combination of 2 or more teams. The 6 currently registered SBA members on a tournament team can be from 6 different teams. As long as you have these 6 current SBA members, you can fill in with former league members or additional current league members. If you want to add outsiders to the league, you can add as many as 2. Keep in mind your 'total in-the-lineup' roster shall contain NOT MORE THAN 7 all-stars. You can have more than 7 on the roster, but not more than 7 can play at one time.
Men's league all-stars are listed here...

Prize Money: After expenses (trash, port-a-potties, softballs, umpires, scorekeepers, statistician, electric, insurance, etc.), the prize money breakdown is listed below. There is more cash available this year because I am not ordering a 3rd port-a-pot. We shouldn't need it. If I am wrong, hold it in or use the woods out back.
1st Place (based on 8 teams): $900.00
2nd Place (based on 8 teams): $400.00
1st Place (based on 7 teams): $775.00
2nd Place (based on 7 teams): $350.00
1st Place (based on 6 teams): $700.00
2nd Place (based on 6 teams): $300.00

Re: Men's Fall Classic 1-Pitch Tournament 2024
As we get closer to the tournament date, I will need each team's roster. On your roster you MUST denote all-stars and outsiders to the league. Your roster will the get posted online for all to see. Any team that plays more than 7 all-stars at one time may be subject to an illegal player forfeit providing the opposing manager makes an appeal before the end of the game. I urge each and every manager to exercise extreme caution when submitting a line-up or making in-game changes. An oversight could cost you the game.

Re: Men's Fall Classic 1-Pitch Tournament 2024
The Commission has pulled out of the men's 1-pitch. There is one spot available if there are any takers. If not, we go with 7.
Wire2Wire Sports Podcast will be the 8th team for the tourney.
