Game #1 – Quality Landscape vs. Dominicks

Quality will come out in this new season swinging hard getting an RBI single from Phil McCusker and three run bomb off the bat of Mark Kannengieszer. Dominicks will answer back immediately getting a grand slam from newcomer Cody Miller as they take a one run lead. More of the same from Dominicks in the second inning as they push across seven more runs. Jack Milto and Joe Perry have back to back RBI singles followed by a two run double from Stefano Giuliano. Rob Schuh will add an RBI on a single while Eric Rosenblum knocks in one with a walk. Quality will grab two more runs in the third on a two run bomb from Kannengieszer, his second of the game. But Dominicks really look to put this away early getting ten more runs in the fourth. Giuliano and Schuh knock in runs on back to back singles before CoDizzle steps up with a big bases loaded walk. Rosenblum then steps up and knocks in two runs on a double followed by a Ray Barry RBI single. An Emily Kline two run triple will put this game to bed as Dominicks will roll. Dominicks win 22-13.

Game #2 – Sandlot vs. Wehrungs

Wehrung’s will come out firing with seven runs right out of the gate. Luke Hendricks will deliver the first big shot with a grand slam deep into the woods. Jill Moninghoff and Sam Caldron will round out the inning with RBI singles as well. Sandlot will get their first runs in the second on a two-run single from Karen Kalinowsky. Luke Hendricks was back at it again with a two run bomb in the third as they push their lead up to 14-2. Wehrung’s will shut this game down early as they will net another four runs in the fourth. Sam Caldron and Lowell Snyder have RBI singles, Doug Moninghoff knocks in a run on an RBI double and Luke Hendricks knocks in three more runs on a three-run bomb. Bobby Snyder also added three runs on a homer as they will win easily. Wehrungs win 24-3.

Game #3 – The Runs vs. Carrolls Jewelers

The Runs will grab two runs on an RBI single from Kyle Exner and flyout from Rebecca Brennan as they take a 2-0 lead early. Carrolls will quickly respond with four runs in the bottom of the inning. Kyle Gallagher and Brian Sauers both knock in runs on RBI doubles, while Greg Lesher scores two on a hit and error. Carrolls will then be the third team tonight to explode over the course of the game. In the third inning, Carrolls will put up 12 total runs. John Zeits will get it started with an RBI single followed by a two run double from Bill Shipe. Brian Sauers will go yard for a three run bomb beofre Kevin Shinkunas knocks in three runs on a double. In the end, it would be too much for Runs as they will fall in this one. Carrolls win 17-5.
