Harry Horn would hit a two-run RBI single in the bottom of the 5th to make it 13-6, but this would all they would score for the rest of the way. Ray Brittingham and Donnelly would add some insurance for Pitch Please on RBI singles in the 6th and 7th as Pitch Please takes down Pitches Be Trippin 15-6.

Game 2: Pitches Be Trippin vs Dark Horse

Pitches Be Trippin would have a quick turnaround to forget about their first game and try to get a W in their doubleheader. They would go down early again as Dark Horse would score one run in the top of the 1st on a fielder's choice. Dark Horse would add another run in the top of 2nd on an RBI single by Alex Tornetta to go up 2-0. Pitches Be Trippin would get something going in the bottom of the 2nd as they scored two runs on a single by Kevin Levonian and a fielder's choice to tie the game. But similar to the last game, the bats were not there today for Pitches Be Trippin as they went scoreless the rest of the way. Dark Horse on the other hand just kept scoring with singles by Mike Zahodski, Jim Walker, Paul Harding, Jason Hudachek and doubles by Dave Ketterlinus and Jordan Moffett as they won easily over Pitches Be Trippin 17-2.

Game 3: Stiff Sox vs One Hit Wonders

Matt Brady hit an RBI single for Stiff Sox in the bottom of the 3rd to get them on the board and Nick Purshuck hit a two-run homer in the fourth. The lead would not last long as Doc’s scored three runs in the bottom of the 5th on RBI singles by Kyle Budynkiewcz and Brooks to make the score 11-8 Doc’s after five. The score would remain the same in the 6th, which would bring us to the top of the 7th and Purple Cobras down to their final three outs. With a runner on and two outs, Steve Gardner blasted a two-run homer to pull the Cobras to within one, but the comeback would fall short as a flyout on the next batter would end things. Doc’s Irish Pub wins a close one 11-10 over Purple Cobras.
