Game #1 – Altek vs. Quality Landscaping

Altek come out swinging a hot bat in their first action of the year pushing across eleven runs right out of the gate. Brandon Smith starts the scoring with a homer, followed by a two run single from Mike Maglio. Kyle Smith and Brian Dart have back to back RBI doubles in the second as well as a Shawn Puskar two run triple to get the total up to 10. Kevin Cwikla will end the scoring in the second inning with a homer. Landscaping are able to get three of those runs back across the first two innings. Daniel McCusker nets a run on a sac fly while Mason Ebersole brings in a run on a single. Altek will have another big run in the third, with eight more. Chris Lento and Scott Flaherty both have RBI doubles, but the inning is highlighted by a Dart grand slam. Altek will grab another four runs in the fourth, with a two run bomb from Lento and Dart two run triple. Landscaping grabs their biggest inning of the game in the fourth where they push seven across. Phil McCusker and Mason Ebersole both smash homers leading to four runs and Mark Kannengies brings in two runs on a sac fly. Phil McCusker grabs another homer in the fifth, but Altek will continue the offensive onslaught and win this one big. Altek wins 28-12.

Game #2 – The Runs vs. The Maize

Runs will come out and grab three runs quick on a Erik Cusano RBI double and a sac fly from Becca Brennan. Maize will come out in the bottom of the inning and get four runs to get on top in this one. Keith Bellinger leads the way with a two-run single and Michelle Egitto adds another with a single of her own. Maize grabs four more in the second with a single from Gary Kleinschmidt and two run double from Aaron Worthington. The Runs will get rolling in the third inning as they will bat around and put up eight total runs. Erik Cusano leads everyone with a three run bomb, but Matt Kovaleski and Becca Brennan also bring in a run on an RBI double. Runs will grab five more runs in the fourth getting another homer from Cusano, this time a two run shot as well as a two run double from Courtnee Levy and RBI single from Nick Perricone. Amy Balash also adds a run on a triple in the inning as well as they lead 16-10. Runs will put this one out of reach with a big seventh inning adding six more runs. Matt Kovaleski delivered a two run double, while Erik Cusano, Brennan and Matt Murphy added a run on a single. Runs win 23-12.

Game #3 – Bat Intentions vs. Carroll’s

Anthony Rapposelli and Carly Levin will get this game started with an RBI double and RBI single respectively as they lead 2-0 after the first half of the first inning. Carrolls will get one run back on an RBI single from Bryan Bart. Neither team will score in the second, which sends us to the third. Thomas Baranauskes smashes a solo bomb to give Bat Intentions a 3-1 lead. Carrolls will take the lead in the bottom of the inning. Kyle Gallagher smashes a three-run bomb to give Carrolls that lead. Bob McClintock will add two more runs in the fourth on a double to make this a 6-4 game. Bat Intentions will take a one run lead in the fifth after two sac flies from Greg Reilly and Andrew Rutter. Carrolls will step up big again in the bottom of the inning to come out and take that lead back. Brian Sauers smashes a two-run bomb, Gallagher knocks in a run on a double and Bryan Bart brings in a run on a single. Carroll’s defense would hold on as they will take this game. Carrolls win 11-7.
