Game #1 – Carroll's Jewelers vs. Supreme

Carroll’s grab two runs on a Kevin Shinkunas single to give them a quick 2-0 lead. Supreme will get that back in the bottom of the inning on a sac fly from Kris Karaba and RBI single from Bill Hamlett. Both teams will get shut down at the plate in the second which sends us to the third. Carroll’s will take the lead back in the third on an RBI double from Bill Shipe. Carroll’s will increase their lead in the fourth with a two run double from Sarah Yoos and RBI double from Greg Lesher as we head to the fifth. The sixth is the next big inning when Carrolls will grab four more runs. Kevin Shinkunas grabs two runs on a fielder’s choice while Shipe and Lesher both have RBI singles. Supreme would get six runs across the last two innings but it would fall short. Steve Skedz knocked in two with a single, while Ryan Goodman, Karaba and Jimmy Van Allen all bring in runs on singles. Carroll’s win 13-9.

Game #2 – Wehrung’s vs. Supreme

The next game will start off with both teams grabbing two runs across the first two innings. Kris Karaba and Ryan Goodman accounted for the runs for Supreme and Daniel Muth and Cindy Snyder accounting for them for Wehrungs. Wehrungs will come out for three runs in the third on an RBI single from Paul Muth and two run single from Doug Moninghoff. Supreme will get two of those back in the bottom of the inning on a two-run bomb off the bat of Ryan Goodman that was crushed deep into the woods. Wehrung’s would explode from here. Asa Cooper would especially go nuts for the rest of the game grabbing a solo homer, three run homer and two run double just missing the cycle by a single. Paul Muth would also clear the bases with a single and Sammy Cauldron smashes a solo homer. In the end, this game is all Wehrungs. Wehrungs win 18-4.

We go to the fifth, when Jack Milito will knock in a run on a single, followed by another RBI single from Ray Barry. Ed Reynolds will round it out with an RBI double to make this a 6-1 game. Wehrung’s will tie it in the bottom of the inning getting five runs on a Sammy Cauldron two run double, sac fly from Doug Moninghoff and RBI single from Paul Muth.
